Hans (Peterberns) Thomsen and Ginny

If it is true that there are angels here on earth, then Elaine was surely one of them. No one could be a kinder or more compassionate person than she was. She brightened up a room with her joyful presence, her playful humor and sparkling eyes, and an always positive and caring attitude. We shared many an evening in Pete and Elaine's home over one of her delicious meals, or just cake and coffee. They opened their home and gave us a place to stay when we needed it. Elaine carried a heavy load when she was running a company on Long Island, managing a household, and caring for her dear Mother, Anna, and her Brother, Fred; all while being a loving wife to her beloved husband, Pete, Hans' brother. But she managed it all with love and great caring. She never forgot a Birthday or an Anniversary. We were in awe of her never-ending acts of kindness for other people and animals. Her passing is a great loss for her family, her countless friends, and her community. We will miss her greatly. We love you, Elaine.
