Obituary for Florence Eileen Paolilli

Florence Eileen Paolilli
LAGRANGEVILLE – Florence Eileen Paolilli, 77, a 45yr area resident, died on February 13, 2017 at her LaGrangeville home, surrounded by her family.

Born in New York City on March 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Edna Mae (Seibert) Dye. She graduated from Gorton High School and the Katharine Gibbs Business School in New York City. Florence retired in 1993 after 25 years of service at IBM in East Fishkill, Poughkeepsie, and Armonk. During her retirement, she worked as the Director of Planned Giving for Guideposts in Danbury, CT.

On November 27, 1991 at the Hopewell Reformed Church, she married the love of her life, Mario J. Paolilli, Jr. who predeceased her on March 7, 2012. Florence will be greatly missed by all who loved her dearly including her daughter, Laurelle Griffin; her sons and their wives, James Creech and Eileen Brady, Michael and Stacy Creech; her grandchildren, Megan and Alicia Griffin, Brendan, Terrence, Claire, and Kellan Creech, Miriam Bittner, and Colbe and Avery Creech; her great-grandchildren, James Griffin, and Emmett and Wyatt Bittner; and many cherished friends, especially Anita Mannion whom she had known for 44 years, Virginia Young, her high school classmates, “The Gorton Girls” and of course the ladies from Curves. As an active and dedicated member of the Hopewell Reformed Church, she considered her church community her extended family and found joy in her final years through her Christ Care group.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4-7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 am at the Hopewell Reformed Church, 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall. Burial will be at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.

Donations may be made in Florence’s memory to the Hopewell Reformed Church. Please visit her Book of Memories at www.mchoulfuneralhome.com.
