Ann E. Plutino, 87, an area resident for 25 years and formerly of Yonkers, died peacefully on June 4, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Yonkers on November 24, 1934, she was the daughter of Patrick Failey and Anna Hall. Ann enjoyed a long, healthy retirement after being employed as a government contract administrator for over 25 years at Gestetner in Yonkers, New York. She was a parishioner of St. Denis Church. Ann was known for her endless energy and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed attending a wide variety of social and community events. She loved living at Dalton Farms where she always looked forward to spending time with her many friends and neighbors at the ladies’ luncheons and playing mahjong. She also enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.
On July 11, 1954 at St. Mary’s Church in Yonkers, Ann married Nicholas Joseph Plutino who predeceased her on November 22, 2002. She is survived by her children, Anthony Nicholas Plutino, Michael James Plutino and Susan Ann Wynne; her grandchildren, Kristine Ann Plutino and her fiancé Robert Kramme, Brian Tanner Plutino and his wife Sara, Danielle Nicole Wynne, and Nicholas James Wynne; and her sister, Patricia Bianchi; many nieces and nephews; and her life long friend, Patricia Metkus. In addition to her husband, she was also predeceased by her son-in-law, Michael Wynne, her sisters Mary Vigliotti. Adele Honisberg and brother James Cahill.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
