Obituary for Jennifer Marie "Niffie" DeVito

Jennifer Marie "Niffie"  DeVito
Jennifer Marie “Niffie” DeVito, 18, a lifelong area resident, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh.
Born on November 3, 1991 in Poughkeepsie, she was the beloved daughter of David A. and Carol Ann Nelson DeVito. Niffie was a 2009 graduate of John Jay High School where she was a member of the Twirling Team and was employed by Journeys at the Galleria Mall. She was a member of the Silver Starlite Twirlers and the East Fishkill Twirlers, and she loved art.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sister, Jacqueline DeVito; her brother, James DeVito; her grandmothers, Margaret Nelson of Poughkeepsie and Katherine DeVito of Cranford, NJ; her aunts and uncles, James Nelson of Poughkeepsie, Margaret and Danny Thompson of Hopewell Junction and John and Lynn DeVito of Roselle, NJ; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday and Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
