FISHKILL - Steven Thomas Burke, 26, a lifelong area resident, died unexpectedly on November 9, 2018.

Born in Cortlandt Manor on June 2, 1992, he was the son of James Burke and Carol (Poons) Burke. Steven graduated in 2010 from Orchard View Alternative High School.

Steven played East Fishkill Pop Warner Football, Town of Wappinger Soccer, Town of Fishkill Little League, and was a CYO Basketball legend – “Burke the Burglar.” He played paintball as a member of the PB&J Team. He enjoyed video games, attending music festivals and making music with his brother as one half of Struggle inc. Most importantly he leaves a legacy of love, laughter and family.

Steven is survived by his mother, Carol Burke and Russell Palmer; his father, James Burke and his wife Laurie; his brother, Michael Burke and his girlfriend, Amy Riccardi; his nephew, Michael James Burke, Jr.; his dog, Cashis; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday at 10am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
