Obituary for Klaus A. Greinacher

Klaus A. Greinacher, passed away peacefully, November 10th, with his children at his side. He was born in East Germany on February 20, 1941. He was Papa to Heidi Greinacher-Layden and Andy; Krista Lane; Frank Greinacher and Sherri; Michael Greinacher; Martina Schneider and Wolfgang. He was Opa to Eric, Kyle, Vanessa, Jurel, Timo, and Alina.

After immigrating to New York at 19, it wasn’t long before he opened his own tool and dye shop. His commitment and expertise to his craft kept him working, never officially retiring. As hard as he worked, he played just as hard, devoting himself to soccer. He played for the Germania Soccer Club and successfully coached many boys/men and girls/women teams over the years. Later, he coached himself to play tennis until he was 75.

Klaus had a contagious laugh yet to the core he was private and humble, and everything he devoted himself to he did for the love of his family.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
