Obituary for Constance "Connie" Karaman (DeMartino)

Constance “Connie” Karaman, a resident of Catawba, SC since 2013 and formerly of the Hudson Valley, passed away at home on Wednesday, November 7, 2018. She was 72.

Daughter of the late Louis J. and Mary (Scialdone) DeMartino, she was born in Yonkers on November 22, 1945. On September 9, 1967, she married Dennis G. Karaman in Yonkers.

Connie served faithfully as pastor’s wife of Fortress Bible Church from June of 1977 until September of 2013, as well as teaching in Fortress Christian Academy. Connie also ministered in prisons and at the Bowry Mission in New York City. Rev. Karaman survives at home in South Carolina.

Connie is also survived by her sister, Jeanne Seekircher, her son, Dennis Karaman, II and his wife Melissa; her daughter, Danielle Aarstad and her husband Rev. Mark; her son, Micah Karaman and his wife Lisa; her grandchildren, Haakon Aarstad, Mikayla Karaman, Bryn Aarstad, Dennis Karaman, III, Ethan Karaman, Lena Aarstad, and Byron Karaman; and many other loving relatives & friends.

Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. on Monday, November 12 at Salem Tabernacle, 7 Delavan Avenue, Beacon. Following visitation, a funeral service will begin at 12 P.M., followed by interment at Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
