Obituary for Wilma P. Taggart

POUGHKEEPSIE – Wilma P. Taggart, 96, a resident of Poughkeepsie sine 1998, died on November 1, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She previously lived in Brewster.

Born in New York City on February 1, 1922, Wilma was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Zanine.

She is survived by her children and their spouses, Patricia and Richard Cohen of Wappingers Falls, William and Genevieve Lent of Peekskill, Philip and Leslie Taggart of New Kent, VA; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, William B. Lent, her second husband, Philip Taggart and her daughter Theresa Santi.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2 -5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 11:30 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill followed by interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne.
