I first met Bill in the late 80's, he was a kind and knowledgable man who did mechanical equipment repairs in the 323 bldg. at IBM. He was amazed that this young woman was doing the repairs to the machines assigned to her. That was me. He was very open and encouraging me to learn more from him. It wasn't long before we became friends. He refered to me as his daughter in IBM. He would take me to lunch with the" over the hill gang". Where he was dubbed "the kid". I had many great times at these luncheons and listening to the stories that were told by all. Bill asked me if I wanted to meet his wife Carole? I jumped at the oppertunity to meet the woman who had married such a wonderful man. Carole welcomed me with open arms, Bill had talked about me to her. They were a terrific couple. I thought of Bill whenever I needed to use the tools he gave me and always will think of him when I do. He was a Father figure to me. We lost touch over the years, but I know that all I had to do was make a phone call and Bill would be right there to help. I worked with Carole and would always how Bill was doing. I sit here writing about the memories Bill gave me, crying that the man who taught me so much about life, is gone. I will truely miss him.
My sincere condolences and prayers to Carole and Bill's extended family. Bill has gone to be the Angel in heaven that he was in his life.
Your long time friend,
Lynne Belsito
