Obituary for
Anna Piscitelli (Ambrosio)
LAGRANGE - Anna Piscitelli, 86, an area resident since 1997 and formerly of the Bronx, died peacefully at her home on April 18, 2018.
Born in Molfetta, Italy on October 29, 1931, she was the daughter of Tommaso and Teresa (Buzzero) Ambrosio. Anna was employed as a clerk for Nu-Kleen Dry Cleaners in the Bronx. She was a devoted parishioner of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church where she taught religious education classes and was a member of the Cenacle Prayer Group. She was also a member of the Hampton Mews Ladies Rosary Group, and the Tri-Town Seniors Club.
On December 27, 1952 in Canada, Anna married Nicola Piscitelli who predeceased her on February 22, 2013. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Vincent and Lisa Piscitelli of Poughkeepsie, Kathy and Fabio Falcone of Poughkeepsie, Rosanne and Robert Nelson of LaGrangeville; her grandchildren, Daniela Yacavone and her husband Marc, Anthony Falcone, Lauren Falcone, Kristen Nelson, Valerie Nelson, and Nicola Piscitelli; her great-grandchildren, Luca and Leo Yacavone; her siblings, Rose Goffredo, Ottavia Carpanzano, Vito Ambrosio, Mario Ambrosio, Antoinette “Toni” DePinto, Joseph Ambrosio, and Angela Guastadisegni; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her infant daughter, Maria Teresa.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday at 10am at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville followed by entombment in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
