Obituary for Stephanie Ann Merritt

Stephanie Ann  Merritt
BEACON – Stephanie Ann Merritt, 71, died on February 13, 2018 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Peekskill on February 10, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Joseph L. and Pauline (Gallucci) Bondra. Stephanie worked in waste management for over 25 years until her retirement.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Volk of Beacon, Stephen Volk and his wife Jennifer of Hopewell Junction, Bruce Merritt, Cindy M. Merritt, Diane McKenna and her husband Peter, and Jean Merritt; her grandchildren, Jennifer Volk, Stephen Volk, Julia Volk, Amanda Merritt, Shane Walden, James McKenna, and Madison McKenna; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Clare and Bob Shultis of Hopewell Junction. Stephanie was predeceased by her husband, Martin V. Merritt in 1987, her brother, Stephen J. Bondra, Jr., and her grandson, Peter J. McKenna, III.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4 – 8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10 am at St. Joachim Church followed by burial at St. Joachim Cemetery.
