Obituary for Valerie Vasta

Valerie Vasta, a resident of Hyde Park, died at home on Saturday, February 3, 2018. She was 69.
Daughter of the late Robert M. and Henrietta (McCarthy) DeRonda, she was born in Peekskill on March 2, 1948. For 15 years, she was a member of the Local 1000 Laborer’s Union. She loved pets and animals and always cherished spending time with her family whom she loved dearly.
Survivors include three daughters: Kim Speziale of Wingdale, Amy Muscat of Poughkeepsie, and Tammy Klatt of Millbrook; her grandchildren, Brandon Speziale of Hopewell Junction, Morgan Speziale of Clinton Corners, Kenny Gibbs of Fishkill, Devon Muscat of Poughkeepsie, Peter Klatt of Millbrook, and Jason Klatt of Millbrook; her great-granddaughter, Avery Gibbs of Fishkill; her sister, Diane Basso & her husband James of Hopewell Junction; and many other loving relatives & friends.
She was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Robert M. DeRonda, Jr.
Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, February 9th at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill.
