Obituary for Eula Jeanne Caulfield

FISHKILL – Eula “Jeanne” Caulfield, 80, an area resident since 1963, died on November 8, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family. She previously lived in Norristown, PA, Tulsa, OK, and Cincinnati, OH.

Born in Rarden, OH on October 29, 1937, Jeanne was the daughter, and one of 16 children, of the late Isham and Viola (Swogger) O’Bryant. She proudly served in the US Navy from 1957-1961. Jeanne was employed by G.E. in Cincinnati as Secretary of Security Department until her retirement in 1961.

On June 17, 1961 at St. Peter and Paul Church in Norwood, OH, she married John J. Caulfield who survives at home. She is also survived by her children, Peggy Tierney and her husband Charles of Fishkill, Susan Caulfield of Fishkill, and Joseph Caulfield and his wife Danae of NC; her grandchildren, Brittany Burton and her husband Julian, Samuel Caulfield and his fiancée Laura, Caleb Caulfield, Patrick Tierney, Timothy Tierney, and Maggie Tierney; and her siblings, Millie Thompson, Aryln and Jenny O’Bryant, Janice and George Kanamori, and Lois Lee. She was also predeceased by her siblings, Virgil and Violet O’Bryant, Grace McChesney, Lawrence O’Bryant, Norman O’Bryant, George O’Bryant, Lottie Lynch, Herbert O’Bryant, Maxine Woodward, Gordon O’Bryant, and Carlos O’Bryant.

She was a parishioner and volunteer at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, attended the Fishkill Senior Center, and was a member of the Southern Dutchess Gadabouts.

Jeanne's family would like to thank the Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation for the loving care they showed her and the support they gave to the family.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-5 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 11:30 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church followed by burial at Fishkill Rural Cemetery.
