Obituary for Timoteo Bernardi

Timoteo Bernardi, 80, a resident of the Town of Fishkill, died on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at home surrounded by his family.

Timoteo was born on August 14, 1936 in Italy where he lived until 1961. He moved to Yonkers until 1978, where he moved to Fishkill. He worked for General Motors for 32 years before his retirement in 1999 where he worked in many different departments.

He was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church. His life was his grandchildren. He loved hunting gardening, going to the beach, camping, and working around the house.

On March 12, 1961 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Timoteo married the love of his life, Josephine Chiulli who survives at home. In addition to his wife, Timoteo is survived by his children, Theresa Silvestri and her husband Nick of Leonard, MI, Anthony Bernardi and his wife Barbara of Lockport, NY, Michael Bernardi and his wife Susan of Poughquag; his grandchildren, Nicholas Silvestri, Christina Silvestri, Amanda Bernardi, Vincent Bernardi, Sara Bernardi; and his great granddaughter, Olvia Cordle.

Calling hours will be held from 2 -5 p.m. on Sunday, July 30 at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 31 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Entombment will follow in the Community Mausoleum at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.
